Orlando Bloom's big sister on stage at Canterbury

Samantha talked about brother Orlando in a new interview, she also talked about her one woman show.
Having a Hollywood heart-throb for a younger brother cuts little ice with Samantha Bloom. "It's normal," she says, referring to the Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean star Orlando, 28. "With the rest of the family in Canterbury we see him quite often but he is away filming a lot of the time as he is at the moment."
"Coming back to Canterbury is a very exciting prospect as I used to come here when I was at Kings College," she said. "Orlando has been to see the play three times now and helped me hand out flyers when I first performed it at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival last year. "I had some really great reviews which was good as the challenge of doing an entire show for your own can be daunting but like any actor my passion for it got me through. "It may be surprising but having such a successful actor as a brother is all quite normal now.
"After the success of Lord of the Rings you get used to the attention it has brought him. "He has been nothing but supportive as has everyone else and I am really looking forward to a fantastic night." Full interview.
Orlando signs new project

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Orlando will be among the lead actors in another indie film called "Sympathy For Delicious" to be directed by Mark Ruffalo. Orlando will play the frontman of a bad-ass rock band, \m/ word
Mark Ruffalo's "Sympathy for Delicious" is coming back together. The indie feature, which is serving as Ruffalo's directorial debut and was to have had James Franco in the cast, fell into limbo after the December death of Ruffalo's brother, Scott. The project is now back on track, with Orlando Bloom and Laura Linney among the leads. Production begins next week in Los Angeles.
The story, written by Christopher Thornton, follows a paralyzed DJ, struggling to survive on the streets of L.A., who turns to faith healing and mysteriously develops the ability to cure the sick -- although not himself. The DJ then decides to cash in on his gift in exchange for his rock 'n' roll dreams. Bloom, taking over for Franco, will play the frontman of a tough-as-nails rock band. Linney plays as the band's manager working hard to stay relevant in a 21st century musical world.
Thornton, a theater actor who is paralyzed from the waist down, is playing the DJ, and Ruffalo plays a priest. Corner Store Entertainment is co-financing the film, with the company's Matt Weaver and Scott Prisand producing along with Andrea Sperling, Ruffalo and Thornton. Joanne Jacobson, Barry Habib and Robert Stein are exec producing.
Kimmel International, headed by Mark Lindsay, will be handling international sales of the film and introducing it to buyers at the Berlin International Film Festival. Keeping his nose in the indie grindstone since the "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies, Bloom, repped by CAA and Brillstein Entertainment Partners, will next be seen in the shorts omnibus "New York, I Love You."
James Franco talked about the movie in an interview with MTV in July last year when he was still attached to the movie.
"Mark Ruffalo is gonna direct his first movie and he wants me to play a singer in a rock band," Franco revealed. "It's called 'Sympathy for Delicious.'" The project, a "drama that's got comedy in it," as Franco described it, has been kicking around since at least 2004, when Ruffalo mentioned the film while doing press for "13 Going on 30."
Based on Franco's comments, it would seem the film might finally be a go. But just who the heck is Delicious, anyway, and why should we have sympathy for him? "DJ Delicious. He's a DJ," Franco clarified. "This DJ character was written for [Mark's] friend who's actually paraplegic in real life, Chris Thornton, and he's this DJ that has kind of a gift. He joins up with my band and then starts getting more attention than me, the lead singer. So I start getting upset about that."
