Orlando: I learned off lizard
posted by Jas, 05/16/05
The Mirror has a story about Orlando becoming a Hollywood star by studying lizards, remember how he told the story on Jay Leno?

Orlando Bloom became a Hollywood star by studying lizards. The Lord of the Rings actor regularly visited London Zoo as part of his drama classes. He was fascinated by the scaly creatures after his teacher said he could learn from them. And Orlando, who played Legolas Greenleaf in the Rings trilogy, says she was spot on. He reveals: "We had to go to the zoo, watch the animals, then mimic their behaviour. "I studied them all but ended up being a lizard." He reckons he learned stillness and composure which he used in films such as Troy and Pirates of the Caribbean. Kent-born Orlando, 28, is now starring in another swashbuckling movie adventure, Kingdom of Heaven.
