What a bunch of nancy boys. Speaking of which, after Orlando Bloom's turn as Paris in Troy, was it hard to make him look tough?
"No, he knew that Paris was a very gentle character, and in that respect, was probably a thankless role for him. But Orlando said, "OK, I've gotta toughen up here." So we put him on a regime and diet, which meant eating a lot more protein. And it worked—he put on 20 pounds of bulk."
He also gives a great speech in this movie, like Maximus before him. Got any tips on giving a pep talk to a giant crowd to get them fired up?
"That was scary, because the crowd that morning was about two and half thousand, which I was nervous about—and Orlando was really nervous about. But I said, "You can't even think about it. Don't worry about the crowd. Just talk over"
