Elizabethtown script review I read a scan of the Elizabethtown script, finishing last night. I was highly impressed, then again, what isn't there to be impressed with when you're talking about Cameron Crowes writing. I hope that the on screen chemistry between Kirsten and Orlando is as strong as the descriptive writing in the script... I fell in love with Hollie Baylor, Drew's mother. I can't wait to see her on screen.. she is a woman.. who lost her husband.. lost her mind..and found a new and productive life, despite what people thought of her. I love the character. The majority of the scenes seem like it is quippy... chaotic at times.. loud and crazy...like most people's family gatherings! The town....the scenery written into the script.. is fantastic and a character of it's own. I love that he includes inanimate things as characters...such as The Purple Urn....The Ginsu Knife...The Plan...The dreaded Spasmotica. I can't wait to hear what the music will be.. since it was written directly into the script so many times. Just the words such as "Claire's Theme" seem so wonderful and light.. Drew has quite a bit of lines... many many voice overs...in fact, I am anxiously awaiting the very beginning narrative. It was one of the most fantastically written piece in the script, along with the random long telephone conversation in which Drew and Claire do many things such as use the toilet, do wash, Claire paints her toenails and takes a bath..Drew goes in search of beer from the wedding party down the hall...they discuss how their ears hurt from having the phone up to it for so long. Lord knows I have had many conversations about nothing at all for periods of time lasting up to seven hours sometimes. Needless to say.. I ..CAN NOT WAIT...to see this movie
