Coming Soon has posted the first picture of POTC: Dead Man's Chest villain Davey Jones. The studio revealed the poster at the San Diego Comic-Con which shows the character played by Bill Nighy in the upcoming sequels.
In the follow-up, due out July 7, 2006, Captain Jack (Johnny Depp) owes a blood debt to the legendary Davey Jones, ruler of the ocean depths and captain of the ghostly Flying Dutchman. If Jack can't figure a crafty way out of this one, he'll be cursed to an afterlife of eternal servitude and damnation.
Bill Nighy previously stated that Jones is the villain and that the character will be created using special effects. "I am a very, very, very, very bad man and I am there to make people suffer in all new ways, in ways that you won't have seen before," he said. "I have a boat and I have a crew, and they are really evil buggers. I'm so computer generated that you might have trouble spotting me. You'll know it's me, but you might have to check the credits afterwards," he laughed.
Super Uber LOTR DVD

Coming Soon has a report on the Digital Bits "DVD Producers 2005" presentation at Comic-Con International in San Diego and mention a super uber LOTR DVD
First off, the presentation started with a Q&A with Peter Jackson who was filming a DVD bonus feature for some unknown film (it apparently wasn't King Kong). He indicated that he had hours and hours of behind the scenes footage from his older films like Meet the Feebles and Bad Taste. He indicated he wanted to do something with it in the next year, but he had to arrange time to do it. He also stated that he and New Line would like to do a "Super Uber Lord of the Rings" DVD box set. It's not official, but they all want to do it. Jackson wants to do it showing the making of the film from a different perspective.

Stuff has an article about Norman Cates who works at Weta Workshop. He talked about the prosthetics used in the LOTR trilogy and mention that "At Helm's Deep, Orlando Bloom was out in the rain all night and his ears collapsed. It took an hour and a half to put new ones on."
