Hollywood Stars Join Global Green for Clean Energy Solutions, Music at ''Rock the Earth''

A press release from Business Wire about a pre-Oscar party supporting the fight against global warming called Global Green USA's "Rock the Earth". Orlando has confirmed his attendance and there will be an exclusive interview with him. The event will take place on Thursday, February 24th, 2005. Green Carpet arrivals begin at 8:00 p.m.
WHAT: Global Green USA's "Rock the Earth" party, where Hollywood celebrities and some of California's hottest musical talent will join Global Green for a pre-Oscar, music-fueled party to encourage clean energy solutions for the fight against global warming. Global Green is working with actors such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Orlando Bloom, Charlize Theron and Salma Hayek to encourage their peers to travel in fuel-efficient vehicles to the Oscars - instead of stretch limos and SUVs. Global Green USA is the American arm of Green Cross International, Mikhail Gorbachev's global environmental organization. As celebrities arrive for the party, they will stroll the green carpet and sign a letter to President George W. Bush, calling for him to support a "smart climate agenda." Media is invited to photograph celebrity arrivals and pose questions to select arriving attendees.
WHO: Orlando Bloom, Penelope Cruz, Salma Hayek, Kate Bosworth, Tim Robbins, Julie Delpy, Dennis Hopper, Lisa Rinna, Harry Hamlin, Esai Morales, and Roland Emmerich are all confirmed to appear. Performing musicians including Perry Ferrell and Incubus will also walk the green carpet. Many other surprise celebrity attendees are pending at press time.
