The other day Orlando expressed his willingness to return as Legolas in The Hobbit but it’s a wait and see situation right now, however, TORN thinks that Orlando should be in The Hobbit.
It’s a terrible idea. It’s a bastardisation of the novel, which Legolas is not in, it’ll upset the fans, and if it’s a bad movie, it’ll undo the good the original did for him, and if it’s good, it won’t improve his situation with the public anyway, cos eeveryone who will see him in it already saw and liked him in the first three.
It’s betting the farm, nothing to gain and everything to to lose, and after district9 and it’s xenophobia related conroversy, Peter jackson’s brand is seriously damaged, as evidenced by the less than impressive sales of lovely bones. Saying no to pirates was a good idea, saying yes to this could be a career killing mistake. I repeat, Legolas is NOT in the book!
